After almost a year in the making, my brand-new workshop Echoes: The Untold Stories of Everyday Objects is officially open for early bird registration! This class was born from my love of collecting unique, vintage, and handmade objects that spark a sense of history or connection, and wondering about the untold stories they hold. In Echoes, we’ll explore expressive, mixed media interpretations of these everyday treasures. It’s an invitation to play, using simple, repurposed materials and expressive mark-making tools to transform familiar forms into minimal lines and shapes on beautifully textured surfaces. We’ll experiment with line, simplified shape, texture, and contrast, not just to capture how an object looks, but to evoke mood, movement, and meaning.
